The connector looks like it's to your exterior air temperature connector, hooks into the back of the driver's headlamp mount towards the bottom.

Stereo looks not happy. Try disconnecting the battery for 30 minutes and then hooking it back up.

the readout is reading -22 because the air temp sensor is unplugged.....the sensor should be in the headlight housing on the drivers side. It's probably missing

there is somthing wrong with your car. i have a feeling your car was in a aciendent ( due to stuff people misplaced, unpluged etc) . Then on top of that the previous owner of your car was not the sharpest tool in the shed.

sunburst the plug wasnt even plugged in. I took out the whole headlight bracket behind the headlight and plugged it back in. this is the first time ive ever had a temp reading lol.

salvage i agree something funny is up with my car, but I had a friend whos a mechanic check all the crumple zones and what not and he doesnt think it was wrecked. if it was it wasnt any kind of major impact or it was hella repaired. lol

so the connector was unplugged and you had no reading......then you plugged it in, and now it reads -22?

correct sir. I found it randomly looking into why my horn didnt work. the horn was unplugged and I saw that plug for the temp sensor. looked into what it was and then found the port and plugged it in. started the car and it sat on -22 for a while then said ice warning or w.e. lol havent restarted it since.

well, it won't update right away......so if you drive it and the temp doesn't change, you will most likely have a bad temp. sensor.

Win!

That headlight bracket was clipped, possibly by the manufacturer of the headlamp or the tool that installed it.

It was probably a ID10-T that was the cause.
