dont ask what ive done because i do crazy **** in my car to keep it clean... lol i cut it all the way down till ~the quater panel and wire loomed and taped the rest of the wires.

But on a normal install i always cut the speaker wires only people that sell those speaker harnesses are BB and CC because they have a certain budget and make plenty of cash on acessories so they will try and get everyone to buy whatever they can. Seriosuly thou i dont think i would even waste my time ordering it for a customer if they wanted it. the dollar profit or whatever isnt worth it

yeah no kidding, i bought my infinities like a week ago, and i dont know how many times i was asked if i wanted the $12 speaker harnesses, its a waste of money.

if you want to like do a hick job on it, just get some speaker wire and put one end in the little stock connecter and hook the other end to the speaker :] thats how mine are right now just cause i dont have everything installed yet

just cut the wires and connect the new. if you want a good solid connection you can always sauder the wires and then wrap electrical tape around it real good. works like a charm.
