8s arent a bad choice to be honest just remember they are 8s. oh and like ive said a million times the box is what makes the difference most of the time not the subs or sub size. ive been very impressed with 8s and very dissapointed with 15s. its all the box man

X2..QFT!!!!! Every sub and has is own requirements. the enclosure should always be considered AFTER you decide on the subs. Also ported/vented vs sealed, I prefer sealed, but they both have there advantages and disadvantages and some subs will react much better with one over the other.

what? I'm talking about a custom box. prefab is straight up ****. Good example was yesterday. My friend Jorge had 3 8" re subs in a F150 and a customer had me install 2 15" kicker cvrs in the prefab kicker box in a Expedition. 8s were way louder and sounded so much cleaner (cant expect kicker to be clean thou)

You can fit a decent sized box in the cobalt.

I had to remove the back seats to put in, but I managed to get a 4 cu ft box into my trunk...

If you want to pay shipping or are willing to somehow come get it I can get a custom box built for you. Ive already talked to my boss about it and like i told James R it would run roughly 110 plus shipping. My recommendation is to check around local shops and see who builds custom boxes. Getting something to fit in the cobalt really isnt hard it just very few prefab boxes fit. And honestly prefab is one of the worst things to do. FYI the "custom" box on ebay isnt a custom box its a prefab. a real custom box is built for your speaker... something built for your car just counts as a flashy prefab box

I'll be able to fit dual 15" Polk Momo's in a sealed box (custom)
Sealed is easier and can be a lot smaller then ported, plus these bad boys were made to be in a sealed box.

depends on how loud u want to go. a small setup like that would be louder then stock but its hard to predict if it would be enough for you.... mind you almost everything we do at the shop is big so its hard for me to compare smaller systems. price on that would be the 110 for the box and 80 for the speaker

A single 8w7 in a JL spec ported box (see JL web site) will give you more than enough bass.
