Will this fit?

I just got a new Cobalt, and for bragging rights, want to get a kick ass DVD system for it. I'll rarely have anyone riding in the back seat, so I don't want to get a flipdown system, but rather a front-seat replacement system for the CD/MP3 player.

Do you think this will fit?

http://www.kenwoodusa.com/products/L...k3=149&pr=1856

Or anything similar?

Also, any other advice for customizations I should do would be nice

Open to suggestions about custom rims, bodykits, etc.

Performance enhancements won't be necessary for me though, I'm not racing my Cobalt :P Think "Pimp my Ride" when suggesting things.

It carries a $2200 price tag, but as long as my dash can carry it, I don't mind!

Going to wait for some more replies to get the best possible idea before going after it.

I want an indash unit that is flush with the dash instead of a slideout. The Unit I really want if money was no option would be the Pioneer Z1. $2,300 I believe but totally worth it.

It's only a Navigation system though, you have to attach DVD/CD players to it seperately =\

The Z1? The Z1 does it all... Nav, DVD, CD, MP3, XM, iPod... Pretty much everything that Kenwood does. Has a 10GB HDD for storing music, also has all the mapping stored on the Drive so no map DVD is needed. Can also play a DVD while using the nav this way. I think it has all the CDDB info stored on the HDD too.

Would that fit in an '06 Cobalt SS/SC?

Also, can you get TV on it? Is there a TV Tuner which can be hooked up to it if it doesn't do it standard?

I guess that's cool. I've never seen the point of DVD systems in cars, but then again I'm pretty much 100% performance minded.

Yes it is only a single din so it will definently fit as long as their isn't any thing up above it to prohibit the screen.

It's currently a factory-stock SS/SC, brand new and only 3 days old.

Only options I got were the G85, Sunroof, and airbags... So, if it would fit in another SS/SC, it would fit in mine.

I've only been in one SS/SC over 2 years ago, so I was just saying. Either way, badass headunit... enjoy it... don't get too distracted watching **** on it.

Who needs **** when you got a Cobalt SS/SC with a Kenwood DVD system inside? It'd be a total chick magnet!

Yeah, probably. Cobalts haven't even been out for two years, let alone more than that. Otherwise, we'd be seeing 2007's already.

I know that if I met a chick with a Cobalt and DVD system I'd think it was attractive as hell, however, if I saw she had a gay threesome on the screen, I'd turn around running, and I bet any girl would do the same if they saw a bunch of lesbians on my screen.

MOST girls don't like watching gay **** and do you only watch lesbian ****??? Still you might find 2 girls that like that lesbian **** and I don't think I need to type out the rest.

Umm, let's drop the **** subject, ok?

Anyway, I'd like to know if that Kenwood would fit in my Cobalt.

Additionally, I'd like to know if the Pioneer Avic Z1 would likely fit as well.

Any pics of either of the two installed in any car (to see how they look and fit into things) would be great. Especially if you can find pics of a Cobalt tuner who has one of the two systems installed.

I already told you the Kenwood would fit.

Alright I'd still like to have more opinions on it too though, just to be sure before putting out a $2,000 investment. I'd also like to know abou tthe Avic Z1 and it's compatibility, as well as seeing any pics of either of the two systems installed in any car (preferably a Cobalt, however).
