will the stock woofer still work?

well, i havnt been on here long enough.. But has anyone tried using the stock subwoofer with an aftermarket deck. I have been reading mixed opinions about bypassing the amp or what not.. Before i start ripping it apart i wanna know if the stock woofer will still work.. I know how to bypass the amp if i need to, but then i know for sure the sub wont work.. Also, you guys are saying that the stock speakers are 2 ohm.. You think i can series the speakers, and then run my rear of my deck to the sub.. I have a selectable rear speaker to be a sub out.. Its just a button on my deck that you press, and it changes the rear speakers to low freq.

First the stock speakers arent 2 ohms there 4 ohms, second if you buy the wiring harness made for aftermarket radio the sub is suposed to work.I think the amp is a mono amp and i dont think you can wire the sub and the rear speakers to it but if you find a way told us.
