What harness are you looking for? Here are a list of all the radio harnesses:

2005 & 2006
  • Pioneer - I think you need an expensive adapter but not sure which one
  • Non-Pioneer - Metra 70-2103 or repin a Metra 70-2003

2007 & Up
  • Non-Pioneer - Metra GMOS-LAN-03
  • Pioneer w/ OnStar - Metra GMOS-LAN-04
  • Pioneer w/o OnStar - Pac C2R-GM11

In ohio I would check best buy and TAS electronics thats were I got them for my car

05-06 uses the same harness regardless and the 07+ you can use the saturn harness and loose your chimes

You buy the harness for the car not the radio. The radio harness should come with the radio. Only good thing about crutchfield is they give u the harness which isnt the case in 07+ vehicles. Dont even attempt to get a different one saying it will work or whatever i guarantee company policy wont let you

I still have my $120 harness from Scosche for my 2005 Cobalt. If you want it, we can discuss pricing and shipping once I find it.

Just to clarify, the Gmos Lan 04 works for the Pioneer without OnStar as well.

Oh and you can cut your wires and tap into the stock wires but theres at least 2 problems with that
1) If you ever want to put the stock deck back in, have fun.
2) have you ever tried to wire a harness together inside the dash, its frustrating to say the least, besides it should be sodered. It much easier to do at a table or a work bench.

I had my civic wired up this way, but that was different, it was only 3 wires, the cobalts have a much more complicated setup

The $12 Metra Harness works perfectly fine for me. Still have factory door chimes and all that good stuff. Where I bought it from told me not to get it though... This could be completly false, but the employee at the store told me that a friend of his bought the same harness, and she got in an accident and the airbags didnt go off because of the factory radio being out.

Sounds pretty lame to me, and the employee probably just wanted the comission off the $120 harness.
