Wiring Harness
Wiring Harness
On the 07 Cobalt LS, I have a factory stereo in and want to install an aftermarket head unit. I cant seem to find any wiring harnesses on the internet that say they will fit. Has anyone found one or will i just have to play a game with my wiring? And the plastic installs, how do you tell if it will fit in the huge gap the stock stereo leaves?
I am capacitor retarted too. How do you tell if a capacitor will handle your amp and everything else and do they affect the sound and bump from your amp/speakers/subs? Is it a good idea just to get a top of the line if you had the money or is it like amps and subs, they gotta work together to get the best sound out of the system?

get either a cheap harness for liek 20 bucks or a gmlanos 3 or 4 (depending on pioneer or not) for around 100.
You need a dash kit for the car.. cobalt kit should be same price as harness and have a lil pocket on the bottom (for a din sized HU)
caps arent made to handle anything. they are to help good-decent eletriacl systems get that extra charging juice to keep voltage up. Usually its recommended to get 1f for 1kw of amp power but extra never hurts. The better brand names will work. the worse ones may or may not i havent tried them yet and i never will
