Just about idiot proof, just hook the power up last, everything is in the trunk with the exception of remote turn on, but just go to the local auto parts store and grab a mini fuse add-a-circuit and a 15 amp fuse, install in sunroof location of fuse panel (should have power sunroof or not). As far as how you hook up the sub depends on how much power it needs, its resistance and how many voice coils, but all that is in the instructions that come with the stuff.

Well if you have the aftermarket head unit, that has a remote turn on lead that will turn the amp on. The power wire for the amp you can get at best buy, circuit city, or even wal-mart. I suggest at least 8 gauge wire, 4 gauge if you want to add a second amp later. You have a positive and negative on the battery and the amp, pos is red, neg is black, same for the output of the amp to the sub, so that part only has 2 colors and the remote turn on. The audio is simple cause you have the aftermarket head unit, just run RCA cables from stereo to amp, done. The head unit is easy too. if you have on-star you need the exspensive harness to keep. If not grab the malibu harness and just follow the instructions to connect it to the head unit harness, once connected, just plug it in and go.

I just wish you guys were closer, I love wiring this stuff up! I wire up nurse call and network systems in hospitals, so I'm a wire junkie I guess

everything you get will have a wiring diagram, and everything is color coded or labeled, so common sense should about do it, lol

If i am correct in this, the line out converter splices or goes with your car speakers like rear decks? Then you plug the Rca jacks to the rca's on the amp.
