Wiring for tweeters
Wiring for tweeters
I have a base model and I am installing tweeters tomorrow. I have checked out the car and would like simple wiring for the tweeters.
My major question is this:
When you open the door there is a rubber hose that carries the wires to the door speakers. In that rubber hose is a plug that connects that wire. Can that plug be taken apart so I can add the two tweeter wires into the door speaker wires so that I don't have to splice in?
I may try to get pictures
Thanks Guys

To be honest with you its a real pain in the ass. If its just the tweets your wiring in and your running them off the HU then splice them in. Dont do it in the middle of the wire though just crimp or sodder them on to the speaker terminals of the speaker in the door.
This is considered cheating but, its a short cut, and it really helps anyone who is new to car audio installs or pushed for time. If you are running your front end off an amp then take the speaker imputs that would have attached to your head unit (the ones coming out of your dash) and to each of the front ones attach (however long as needed) speaker wire to them. then just run that back to amp through the middle or down the sides of the car. Its not required for the rear speakers as they are easy to access in the trunk.
It won't win you any SPL comps and like that ugly chick you keep around for a booty call every now and then, you might not want to tell youir friends about it, but desperate times call for desperate measures and it gets the job done
