i painted my bowtie black about a year ago and it fell apart on the highway yesterday, saw a piece of black plastic bounce across my hood and up the windshield. I stopped by my dealer today to pick up an ss badge but as usual it had to be ordered...oh well only $10. thanks for the idea though

And I got the badge on ebay I believe. Crate Engine Depot also sells them
