Nice and clean it looks like you're the first one put a system in the car. Not bad nice a basic setup. You plan on cutomizing the truck more? I like systems but i don't like giving up trunk space. At least this way if you need to truck you can take out the system if needed. What Speakers, amps, and headunit are you using?

NICE the radio sit nice and flush
you should put a grille or something over your speaker before something rips them. thats why i usually go bandpass, then the speakers are inside and they won get damaged.

as for product used in the car, the Head unit in the LH-300 from JVC with Matching Front and Rear Components. 6.5 in the Fron and 6 X 9 in the Rear with 2 Audiobahn AWC12T Performer series Subs Powered by the JBL gto601.1 600 watt amp. Hopefully , If all goes well, I might be sponsored by Liquid Audio here in Red Deer already. ( I hope I hope) and when that Happens, Look out. ( this song goes out to everyone in a 12 block Radius)

hopefullt next week the Pioneer AVH 6400 DVD in Dash system is going in. Time to Rock the Party.

As for the cages for the subs, I have the in the car just not on. I believe that presentation is everything and those wont go on unless absolutely necessary. The Way I mounted the amp looks pretty good, as the JBL amps have very bright power lights. when I fold down the Rear seats, the Amp is in yo face and at night its even better.

As for Female approval.................... very receptive. nobody has really seen these cars yet, so I can Sneak up on the Imports under the guise of a Honda Civic, and we all know that the Cobalt is faster and Torqueier than that so these guys get a bit of a surprise. Its kinda nice being the only guy around my town with one, and like I say, the Women Love Black. Now if it would only stop snowing.................................

I was wondering if you did the wiring and if there were any problems or "side effects" with that aspect.

It does look good though. The options for a TRIPLE DIN dash are mind boggling!!!

Congrats though, sweet ride.

Nice ride... Congrats... Thanks you personaly for taking a picture of THAT HUGE trunk with a couple of subs... I just wanted to see how far out they would be... I looks like nothing at all from the rear seat!... AND YES... I AM ALMOST SURE TWO 15's will fit!... MY trunk, the more and more I look at it... I think I can lay down in it and take a nap!!! lololol

Also... you car is the first car I have seen with an aftermarket Radion in.... Tell me or us something... How many things did you look by doing that??? (( Door chimes, Alarm, and what not! )) Because a tech that work at the dealership that I got my car.. He does all he custom work on the chevy's.... He sade EVERYTHINGGGGGGGGGGGG RUNS RIGHT INTO THE BACK OF THAT RADIO or into that harnes.....!! Was it a pain in the ass to get it done???

WOW... a lot of typing... OK I'm going now... lol

I took the 12's out and put a Dual 15 Sealed box in to check the fit, and you have about 1.5 inches of clearance from the top of the trunk, so the 15's will fit nicely. I think that the GM techs have you guys spooked because I have not Had any problems whatsoever with the wiring. I havent Lost a thing. My car did not Come with the factory alarm because to be perfectly honest, I like Personal Customization, so perhaps you guys that got the factory alarm will lose that, but I seriously doubt it.

As for Wiring the whole system up, Piece of Cake. good cake too, not that 7 Day old stuff at the supermarket The Battery in the Trunk is so Convienent. Instead of 9 Ft of Power wire, I need 3 Feet. Saves some Cash. However, in order to gain access to the Rear speaker brackets, the trim plates from the Rear dash all the way down to the Door Jams need to be removed, at least on the sedan, but even that was easy. Very User Friendly. All in all, from an instalers standpoint, the Cobalt is Incredibly simple the Customize and Modify, but not so simple that everything just falls apart like lego, if u catch my drift. The only Hinderance that I noticed, was when the Stereo was done, and I had to Bend the Heat plate back from the exhaust, but thats Very Common on Every Vehicle on the Planet.

On another note, the new shoes and custom 2% tint go on in the next week as well as the Neon Package for the Trunk that activates when the rear seats are folded down.

Hopefully the DVD Package Next month if my Overtime comes through

Later Guys, more Pics to Come as additions are made

Any Questions, u know where to find me

well, bandpass is possibly the worst box to use for subs
if you are worried about **** scratching the sub, get a nice grill
but ive never had that problem

it depends on what you want your system to do when it comes to choosing a box for your subs. But at the same time, I also have never run into the problem of ruining subs by stuff hitting them either, oh yeah......... still no problems with the electrical for those of you that are interested.
