Dude, I've seen the videos. "Noticeable gains" - yeah, I'd fvckin' say!! I think you'd kill a stock SS/SC hands down. I can really hear the M62 in your vids. Sounds awesome!!!

In order to post an image you must upload it to a server that is reachable without login.
Photobucket.com is a good one. After that you must put the link to the photo in closing with the link to the image in the middle. You cannot copy and paste your photo to the text box.

Question

The SS and the redline are pretty similar looking...Which one is faster? I see that the tq of the redline is more but the hp is the same. Ion Redline Specs

Well stock for stock when i raced a SS, i ended up by beating him by maybe 1 1/2 cars. but he deff poped out of the hole faster(LSD) I had to play catch up. But My redline now, w/ the mods it has, I have put multiple cars on a stock SS. But I garentee that if it had mods like mine it would be very close. RL's & SS's have the same traits but deff do not look similar. All i have to say on about who is faster is," its the drivers race"
A smart person would have to say that in-order to avoid Flamming.

But about the age old question who is faster???
Horsepower help sell cars , tourqe help win the races

friend of mine put a torque brace on his car and he can beat me out of the hole better because he doesn't have nearly as bad wheel hop. I ended up beating him top end though. Why is it that you can hear the Supercharger better on the RL then the SS?

I thought the SS/SC was slightly faster because of a slight weight advantage?

Easy question on the S/C Sound. My father and i made intake systems for all of our redlines and its prob the best mod IMO. Its basicly a cheap mod but it helps out allot .
I dont need a TQ brace, My Close friend Bill(goofyGuy) was the fabricator of the TQ brace for the redlines, The reason why i dont need one is b/c I know how to launch the car. He doesnt so he made the braces LOL . I joke w/him all the time about it.
He allways wants to run me but nvr has. I couldnt honestly tell ya who would win out of the two?? I really couldnt.

No you cant use the slightly lighter advantage b/c its all on the driver i cant stress it anymore. The Cobalts rims slow it down tho, top end b/c the time it takes the 18' rims and tires to spin to get up the Speedo/ so the 17' rims help out a bit more but not a marginal gain. Thats why i still say drivers race.
Its like comparing two boxers that are an inch Larger or shorter than eich other. Height and in reach. Its who ever is the better boxer

All I want to do to my SS/SC is: modded intake, larger header and possibly bored TB which is pretty much what you've done. I want to keep the exhaust stock for two reasons: 1. Why fix something that ain't broke. 2. My wife.

Do you think I may be able to get an extra 20-25 whp out these mods or am I dreaming. Also, have you ever considered a pulley swap for the SC? You seem knowledgeable and experienced with the LSJ's so that's why I'm asking. Sorry to bother you if I am.

No , your not a bother at all, your car is my car.
I guess you can say i know a lil about the LSJ- Its b/c between my two brothers and my young at heart Father own 04 redlines and just learn from experiance. 25hp out of the mods that i have very possible. Do i know if i have anywhere close to that for sure? No. Its deff faster I know that for sure. I agree w/ the exhaust being left stock untill Higher boost. That leads to the nxt question. Pullie swap, yes im going to do a full 18psi kit w/piggy back computer and Water/meth injection. Possible install date would be around december.
Lets not leave out n2o? I have used and installed it on the LSJ engine w/ no problem up to a 75 shot. Running constant 13.3's isnt what i wanted and every time i used it iwas afraid. So i took it out. But n2o deff is the more Hp for the Buck. I can say w/ an expensive kit installed right w/ supporting mods to help from Puddling and detonation in the intake. Your set you shouldnt have any problems. And just n20 would make you faster than any psi kit or bolt on.

Pm me for anymore Questions
