Well... I didn't wait for that paycheck afterall. I went to the dealer that I knew had an SS in Laser Blue Metallic this morning... and drove it off the lot.

It's a 2006 (obviously) SS coupe. The only options in it are the auto trans, sunroof, and MP3 stereo. Ebony cloth interior, power windows and locks of course, 17" wheels, and all the other standard SS features.

It's the 2.4L Ecotech. Most of you will know that already, but hey, I'm excited here! The pics below are my CarDomain pics... and they were taken on my way home from the dealer. We had some nasty snow here last night, so the roads are messy. The car was filthy by the time I took the pics, but these will have to do for a few days at least... until the snow melts and the salt's off the road.

Thank you, thank you... Yeah it's impossible to keep it clean with salt water all over the roads. I want to wash it so badly... but I know it will get just as dirty again before I even make it back home. Damn PA weather.

 

Congrats, that's the same dealer I got my Cavalier from back in the day. As far as washing it, if you can't do it by hand only go to touchless car washes. The paint/clearcoat on these cars scratches INSANELY easily.

 

Yeah, my dad and I are **** about washing our cars. We only wash by hand or brushless. Usually we only wash by hand or at a quick do-it-yourself bay just to clean it off (you know just a spray in those bay areas).

I live in Greensburg too. I'll be getting a 4 door 5 speed SS in the next few weeks when it comes in.

 

What color? I'm definitely all about a meet in the Pittsburgh/Monroeville/Greensburg area.

 

Monroeville seems like the way to go, it's pretty much a midpoint for everyone in the area.

 

Looks good. Ive got a carbon copy of that car just that mine is arrival blue. I have yet to see another arrival blue ss/na. You got any plans for it?

I don't know, I'm slightly ticked off at mine since it died on me today. Hopefully it's something minor and can be fixed promptly so I can get right back to enjoying the heck out of it.

Haha... awesome. We actually met up today in monroeville. If I would've checked this thread earlier I would have told you to meet us. I drive to Oakland all the time to see the gf. Maybe I'll see you around Pittsburgh sometime.
