Hey everyone, new member here! Glad to see a site dedicated to the Cobalt.
On Monday night I bought a Cobalt base sedan with an auto tranny in Blue Granite. I knew the first time I saw the Cobalt on Chevy.com that I had to get it. I have not seen one on the road here in the Philly area yet. It is quite an upgrade from the 01 Prizm I traded in for it. I hope to get some pics of the car soon and post them up here. One funny thing I have noticed so far is that the car battery is located in the trunk, and there is a remote positive terminal under the hood. All in all I love this car, from the styling to the smooth and quiet ride.
I look forward to posting here!
HERE ARE THE PICS!!! Enjoy!

Welcome to the board. Can you post some picture of your car for us?
Most of us are waiting on preorder, but I think there are a couple people who actually own a Cobalt.

I will definately post some pics once I have some time to take them in the daylight. Unfortunately, I am stuck in work during all of the daylight hours. I plant to take some pics on Christmas Eve day, and I'll post them here then!

cool bro cant wait can u take some detailed shots of your trunk area not just the out side!
my reason is im going to custom fiberglass two 12" sub enclosures on the left and right side of trunk and carpet them to match trunk. so i will have room in my trunk and im also going to make a flase floor t hide my 3/4 amps! l8r
audio specs
2 power acoustik FUBR series 1800 watt max each 900 watts RMS each!
2 980 watt Rms each power acoustik amp FUBR series
1 600 watt 4 channel P/A amp FUBR <- for 4 speakers
i know for sure im doing the 12's but im not sure about the 15 inch sub yet read below
but i need pics to plan then when i recieve my SS i will start!
and if i can make somethign fancy a 1600 watt gothic series amp from power acoustik !
with my 15 " FUBR series sub will be added too! all connected with the street wires multi distribution block!
SO PLEASE POST LOTS OF TRUNK PICS! THANX BRO AND WELCOME!

Patiently Waiting
Hey everyone...
I am also a new member (celebrating my first post).
Currently waiting for my pre-order SS s/c. Ultra Silver Metallic with some black vinyl ready for striping to compliment my brothers black w/ silver SRT4.
I am pretty new to the tuning scene (i grew up driving classic beetles...bit of a difference and fell in love with the cobalt the first time i saw it. I am looking for some advice with early mods and upgrades. I am definitely doing exhaust, intake, and pulleys but i am not sure what else i should do. Any input would be great. I was also thinking about one JL 8 in the trunk...any other suggestions?
Thanks a lot guys, and i will be sure to post up some pics as soon as I get it...

im just not impressed by it....it has an odd look to it...kinda like the Saturn Ion sedan...I just cant see it converting any import buyers...the interior looks better than the Cavalier but so is everything on the market today...it meets the standard instead of exceeding standards which is what GM needs

The car looks good man!!... I really like the idea of the battery being in the trunk... imagine how much easier it make things when going to install an amplifier, subwoofer, etc etc... instead of having to run wire through the firewall
Keep us posted and enjoy the new ride!!

If all you have are negative comments, plase make like a tree and leave. I'm sure the majority of the people on this forum could care less about your anti-GM remarks.
