PICS-RK Sport Hood, CF Trunk, Thermal Exhaust

Haven't really posted any pics of my car. Took a bunch today, since I was bored. Time for a good spring cleaning/wax. ENJOY!

Lol jk man.
Hey I love how it looks man. also, do you notice the difference in weight? When I had my focus it felt like a picked up a couple of lbs of TQ because of the pounds I shaved. Does it feel that way with you ss.sc.

^^^LMAO! Coming from the guy who was getting an EVO, so he had to sell his car and AAM cat back. Ends up getting a Magnaflow, and more stuff to date. Don't think I really noticed the car being lighter, maybe a hair on the butt dyno.

I had the stock on for awhile but, I wanted something that was still quiet but had better flow. So I went with the Ion Redline Thermal cat back.

It had to be shortened to fit nicely in rear bumper, and two hangers were modified. Sounds INCREDIBLE!!! Hands down the smoothest, meanest sounding exhaust for the SS yet! Similar to the distinct 3" AAM sound, but not near as loud. Thermal also had a silencer pre installed. I didn't even know til a day after it was on my car, lol. Boy did I feel stupid when I removed it, sounded phenomenal!

So Thermal R&D does not make a SS specific catback yet, Hopefully they will in the future!

Thanks for the compliments!!!

May eventually paint, no rush as of now. I just wanted to be rid of those holes and dents in the original lid. I don't mind the CF sticking out, I actually grew to like it. Although I know it looks odd. I'm looking to spend my money on some Stage2 goodness next. Then I may have my rear bumper, hood, and trunk all painted. As they all need it for different reasons.

yeah, can't please everyone. some people don't like my cf hood and lip but as long as you like your trunk then that's all that matters.

do you have a link to where we can check out that exhaust? if you can get sound clips, that'd be awesome.

The car looks great. The only question I have is why does the driver's sid of the hood look raised up higher than the other side?

DUDE WTF!!!??? i am so jealous of the cf trunk lid. Why is that you got yours shaved w/o the lock on the trunk? I got an ugly key latch on mine. . im kinda disapointed now.

Hood still needs to be fine tuned. Since its coming off soon, I wasn't worried about getting it perfect just yet.

It arrived damaged, stupid ABF Freight!
It was already painted red, it was the hood off of RK Sports show car. It arrived cracked in a small spot underneath, and spiderwebbed the paint on top in a small area. If it wasn't for that I would've had a perfectly matched hood ready to install, end of story. Now I have to have it fixed, sucks!

Gravana sells lids with locks and third brake light, is that where you ordered yours from?
