Sparco Globe-x and x-tra short B&M
Sparco Globe-x and x-tra short B&M
Here is what I did last week. I installed my new Sparco shift knob, and shortened my B&M shifter even more.

Notice on the picture below, how I cut the original pull up place off, moved the boot down below the next rib, and use the old boot section as my pull up place. The rib slides into the bottom of the knob perfectly, thus retaining the reverse lockout. The shift is much shorter, and definately to my liking.

I just installed the B&M about a half hour ago. It wasn't too bad. The instructions SUCK SUCK SUCK SUCK SUCK. I spent half my time trying to get the stock knob off. See my How-To for that description. Other than that it isn't too bad.

PM me if you would like
Sorry for the necro-post but I ordered both the shifter and Sparco knob from TTR yesterday and am going to do something similar to your setup. I love the way it looks, even better than the Hurst I was holding out for. From the phone conversation I had with Summit over the Hurst shifter, I wouldn't be surprised if Hurst ends up scrapping their shifter for us.
yeah i did order in hopes to have it befor i went home on leave but something went wrong witht the card. i ordered the pacesetter today should be here next week and ill reorder the shifter once i get back.
