Okay I have heard that the plastic intake manifolds cannot work with the lsj as a turbo swap manifold. My questions are what is the differences with mounting? The other if the manifold can withstand -24psi vacuum without collapsing why would it be that it cannot hold over (what I am told) 12 psi of boost. It is the same pressures just opposite sides.

 

if you want to boost using a plastic intake manifold you would be better off getting the 2.4 manifold. it's constructed a bit better.

 

the 2.2 manifold is actually a 3 peice design(not a 2 like everyone thinks) I have 2 of em sitting in my garage.The 2.4(LE5) manifold is molded as one making it along stronger.I would use that as a temp till you can get a cast mani or the sheet metal mani.Oh and they all have the exact mounting pattern

you i saw you were trading your saab manifold to the 2.4 manifold. what was the reasoning for that?

 

i have a 2.4 intake for sale if your interested, its from CED almost new- even has the adapter plate for the 2.2 throttle body
