252ET vs 256ET

Looking to get the ZZP turbo kit come black friday assuming they have a sale on them, and having a hard time choosing the right turbo for me. I'm thinking the 252ET is a better choice for my build since I've read it spools quicker, and I'm not looking to make huge numbers.

Anyway, want to get some opinions. This would be for a daily driven 2.2LAP auto with no internal engine mods yet, but will likely do rods and pistons come next year tax returns after I get this on.

And before anyone says anything, yes, I realize that my rods give at "250 hp" and the auto tranny is supposedly good up to ~350 lb-ft torque

Is anyone ever going to respond to this? I'm interested to know people's opinion on this as well, for I am looking to do the same for my 5spd 08 L61. My goal is 450 wheel.

Well, the S256 kit will be pushing the stock auto trans. Being auto I would choose the S252 kit. But however a 5 spd would be nice with a S256 kit. The F23 in the cobalts can hold a decent amount of torque and power.

Either turbo will be pushing the auto.

Eh on a stock block with an S252 I think he'll be alright. Most he' ll be able to run is 8 psi. 6psi regularly.

i have a 2.4, stage 3 zzp turbo kit, i chose the s252. All the S250 series from bullseye are rated to 650 whp.

spool is basically instant, makes boost @ 2200, 8 psi @ 2800, 10 Psi 3300.

i can drop down a gear to 3k rpm and even under light-mild throttle, i'll be at 10 psi pretty much instantly

for me, i wanted as wide of a powerband as possible, not the most WHP

both turbos are both very capable of 400-500whp (and thats getting into silly/dangerous) territory for a fwd street car

my vote is for the s252et,

Power band > Peak power. I think I said posted that correctly. Peak power means nothing. A car with a good usable power band will beat a car with an ok power band and peak power.
