2nd ECU Chip?

I was told that I would void the warranty of my Cobalt if I decided to use a tuner like HP tuner for example. I was just wondering if there is a way I could purchase a 2nd ECU Chip for my car since I have heard that you can just swap the chip GM will not be able to determine if you have flashed the Cars ECU Chip.

you cant just reflash your ECU back to stock if you have to take it to get serviced at GM?

they are using the tech2 to check for that now, there was a bulletin posted on it...they can see how many times its been flashed or soemthing, anyway, the dealer doesnt decide, they take a picture of the tech 2, and than send that screenshoot over to another department, from there they decide wether to do the warranty work or not, i believe this is for major things like cat's, engine, tranny, etc, simple **** i dont thingk will matter
