AEM Cold Air Intake Check Engine Light

Has anyone had any problems with an AEM cold air intake in their car? I put one in and my check engline came on because if says it is running lean. Does anyone have any solutions besides disconnecting the battery?

Bro you are going to have that CEL until you get a reflash from a chevy dealer. The whole battery fix is a bunch of crap. It fixes it for a day or 2 and then the cel is back. Go to any chevy dealership and tell them you need a reflash or just buy stage 1 or stage 2, they come with a reflash.

Well I have a chevy cobalt LS 2005 2.2L. I went to the dealer when I got my car inspected and they said it was running lean. I had my car back at the shop today for my car hesitating and they said they can't do anything until I put my old air box back on. they scanned it and the same 2 codes got thrown from the computer. I think there could be a problem with the mass air flow censor but I don't know.

Sorry I didn't know you had the 2.2 You should click on the search button and type in 2.2 AEM intakes and you should find more stuff.

Mine was on for about 2 months. It went out twice for about 1 day each time. I changed the filter and the light went away for 2 weeks but just kicked back on yesterday. I might just go with another intake or put my stock airbox back in.
