meth can be found online (boost juice, vp, etc). or at local performance shops or race tracks, or at local farms that use it to make biodiesel...and it should be 3-7 dollars a gallon...
some water has minerals and deposits in it that can over time clog the nozzle...
alky has different stoich value but tuning is much the same, you can push the car to "leaner" afr's but in reality they aren't always as lean as you would really thing they are...
Ive actually seen worse then 8* of knock on a supercharged application using meth, since the boost ramped fatser then then alky could compensate.
.7* of knock = 1 degree on gm pcm's im pretty sure.
If you get .7 that means your engine suffered from detonation. I hate knock and none of it is acceptable, especially at high boost levels. .7* can chip pistons and such just as 8* can.
Oh, another thing, will alky cause a skewed O2/WBo2 reading?

when running meth do you have to advance your timming, or can you just run it for its IAT cooling bonuses. i was thinking about running a low or smaller spray of meth just to lower IAT... i just dont want to advance my timing right yet. i konw its not taking the full advantage of meth but would it hurt to run it without advanced tuning?

hmm, well i guess i will have to look into that more when i do an install on our cobalt when we get it...i guess the blowers making so much heat that its not effected by the meth injection...
Well... I'll admit I'm clueless so I have a few questions.
Is meth something you can install without a tune primarily for the cooling effects? Once I drop pulley sizes I will get tuned but until then is it safe to run without a tune specific for meth?
I would assume not due to the fact that it raises octane level.
If I were to run out of meth after I have been tuned for such, what kind of problems would this cause if I were to drive without any meth for some time?

One question, (the same question I've always been posting) do you guys think the meth injection could work in lieu of the 50 shot of nitrous for the GM Stage 3 Kit? I'm going to purchse the stage 3 for sure, but not sure whether to use water/meth or nitrous. By the way, does anyone here actually have the GM Stage 3 set-up?

Some info I thought I would toss out.
Spraying after the blower is more efficient, but you don't get the cooler blower. IMO I would get 2 smaller nozzles and have one before and one after. Right now I got 2 spraying after and going to try routing one of them into the intake.
Also, water actually lowers the temps better than meth. Meth is used for added fuel. 50/50 mix is optimal to get the best of both.
