Turbo. But there are so many variables that its not that simple.

For you though: turbo.

depends. each have different specs. a turbo is for more top end n mid range power. a procharger is both turbod n supercharged. a supercharger is for instant boost. when u have a procharger u have both low end boost n top end boost. idk, depends on how much serious power YOU want. lol.

A centrifugal supercharger will give you almost no low end and will build boost all the way up to redline. Its not the most ideal setup for a low-torque 4-banger, but to each his own.

Kind of confusing.

A centrifugal supercharger is belt driven, hence why it is a supercharger. The compressor however is not like the roots style lobes, but like a turbo compressor. The centrifugal supercharger hits peak boost at redline, no matter what the application. Where a turbo hits peak boost depends on the size of the turbocharger and the engine its on.

correct but since its belt driven, theres no real "lag" n as soon as u punch it, u should generate boost. diff than a turbo. also correct with the compressor. but, guys who r like dead set on insane numbers really mess with the compressor.

the best thing to do is to look things up and research for urself. ur on the right track though with asking questions.

but lemme ask you, what are ur power goals? what do u want to achieve power wise? after u establish a power goal u can roll from there and pick n choose some options.

With their stock tune and at 8psi you should make about 200whp, maybe a little more. If you go with some other tuning, that turbo is more than capable of giving you 250whp. I don't know how long your internals will be good for though if you are making that much power.

Technically, yes there is no lag. But you are making pretty low boost. Just because a turbo has to spool up, doesn't mean that its not making boost at low rpms. Depending on the turbo you are using, the lag isn't that bad. Look at the SS/SC. It has 260 tq at 2500 rpms. Its really just about preference. If you have a particular power goal, you can find a way to get their using either way.

now adays with dual scroll turbos and properly sized on your application there is minimal lag, if any. build her right and youl have power like a supercharger....still though youl always generate more top end with the turbo

i'm actually going with a smaller turbo myself...it will start spooling almost when you turn the key...but will generate boost around the 2k mark dropping off at around the 5k mark making it fast and reliable.... so for you i would think a decent size turbo with a spool that is quick but depending on the CFM rate that will ultimately determine how much boost you should run...whether it be 8 psi or 11psi etc. so research those flow charts on both the centrifugal superchargers and the turbos and make a decision based on that....

I think a good turbo kit will be cheaper for you. a good garrett kit is like $2800 and you get what you need to slap her on and enjoy. But if you want a procharger kit from like Speed mafia performance, its $2800 for there lowest kit w/out an intercooler. you will have better luck with the turbo.

and you know what. I dont really like turbos, I am a really big fan of Prochargers (the product and the company) so it is an un-biased opinion there buddy

def get a turbo, with your current mods + a turbo you'll be 200+ HP and be able to beat those stock SS/SC's flying around.
