bigger SUPERCHARGER
i agree, but it wont beat a turbo's numbers. i hate to say that
damnit i wish i could get that to fit!
i dont wanna convert my SUPERCHARGED beast for a whistleing turbo :P lol personally, turbos make me mad because SRT-4's stock are slower then my dads lifted excursion

Why not? because i don't like watching my cylinder head do pushups off the block. 2.3L High Helix Blower..... *shakes head*....

I thought the person making that quote was joking until I saw the pic. Think for a second... now,
Tell me what engine have you seen that has a displacement that is equaled by the output of the supercharger mounted to it? The new ZR1 has the eiher the 1.9L or the 2.3L tvs mounted to it, either of which represents roughly 1/3 the displacement of the engine. With the 1.32L tvs adapted to our cars, it accounts for more than half the displacement of the engine (2.0). I'd rather not fathom the parasitic loss that would be presented by trying to even spin a 2.3L blower for some kind of gain.
The unit that we have was designed with the smaller displacement engine blocks in mind. Efficiency and generous gains are the reason why many of us are using these now, and more are buying into it.

Two problems with that though.
1. To my knowledge, only two people have that setup on this forum, one being the chick from cobalt-addiction.com.
2. There really isn't any backing concerning that type of setup. I know the person that had the twincharged setup on his, and he was from the midwest, had problems with it, and got outside help from a tvs owner and tuner (imagine that) to try and get things right.
Too many issues and problems with a severely complicated powerplant that isn't necessary. A twincharged setup can be matched by a turboed one (06blackg85ss), and us with the tvs are going to try and push the numbers up to see where the ceiling actually is.

if cost isn't an issue, get the 2.0 race block and build it. If you don't want all that hassle, I agree with half the ppl in this thread...get the tvs. Twin charging is just a PITA to do, and even worse to tune. If you wanna make more power, go turbo. I think you should go the tvs route tho, everyone on here is looking to see what that thing can really do mounted up on our lsj's and tuned right.
