Bnr swap help. Valve cover line.
Ok guys. Got everything off except there's a line that goes from the valve cover to the stock turbo. Where does that go on the bnr?? And how do I remove it. Can't get it off. Its located on the back left of the valve cover if your facing the engine.
Yea that is your oil blow-by line i have a catch can connected from turbo-occ- valvecover. I have ddmworks instructuons whih though for a sky when it comes to all the lines its all the same. I can email it to you if you like.
Yeah, it'll cause air metering issues. It might be able to be tuned around, but I'm not sure if that's just a bandaid or not.
To fix the air metering issue you'll need to:
-Stick the MAF in the cold side CP (since the air to the VC leaves the intake tract and comes back before the MAF then)
-Stick the VC "intake" line before the MAF (would require intake modification)
-Stick the VC "output" line in the intake before the turbo (would also require intake modification)
-Unplug the VC "intake" line, plug/cap off the hole in the intake, and vent the "intake" and "output" sides of the VC to atmosphere. (Not sure if the intake manifold vent would cause an issue with this though.)
How'd you end up getting the hose off? I started a thread about this to get some ideas about what methods people tried and how successful they were. I'm getting some help with it soon as I'd like to avoid permanently damaging it in case I need to stick it back on at some point.

i just removed the 10mm bolt that was next to it on the turbo and pulled like hell. there is a fat O-ring in there holding it in. and i figured out a solution for that line.
its pretty ghetto until i get more funds to make it look pretty but i ran a vacuum tube from that line and tapped into my recirc tube from my bov to my intake. all that air is metered and since my recirc tube is tapped into the intake i should be golden.
fuel trims are still way off but i do have a bigger turbo on untuned...
on an unrelated note, this turbo is very quiet for some reason. maybe its because im not tuned yet? im not boosting anything over 5psi for safety reasons.

Nick had mine going into the intake before turbo so i just left it. I made a new catch can today without a breather filter and my LTFT dropped 2.5 and was surprised it made that much of a difference.

when i get the money i may try to get a hard-piped recirc tube and ill get a little nipple on it for that line, but for now it what i have will do.
when your a helicopter mechanic you can make anything work. lol.

Make sure it's recirculated.
