Boost leak super charger.

I was driving my 2007 cobalt ss/sc a few weeks ago and i could hear a secondary whine (not the super charger) under more aggressive acceleration. I didn’t drive it for a few days and then the next time i drive it i accelerated a little harder and the motor started breaking up. Under normal in town driving it’s fine but if i get on it a little this happens. My guess is a boost leak (this is my first boosted car) and the only place i could think it would leak from is the main gasket or the bypass valve? I recently had the super charger off while tracking down an electrical issue and for about a month it drove fine. The vacuum lines are pretty dry rotted, would those vacuum lines being bad cause my issues or maybe i damaged the gasket and should replace that? Or is there something else I’m over looking? Thanks in
advance.

Edit: i replaced the two vacuum lines on the bypass valve and took a short drive. The first half of the drive i could still hear the leak then the last qtr mile it had no power. In neutral i could rev it and it sounded fine but while in gear it just didn’t want to go. I could move the rod on the bypass valve up and down and hear the spring working so idk. I’m about to pull the charger off and look at the gasket. If anyone has any other ideas I’d be glad to hear them.

Edit 2: There is another place on the solenoid that looks like it should have a vacuum line going to it but it don’t. If i put my finger over it while running it actuates the bypass valve and the rod pulls down. Maybe i pulled a line while taking off the SC and didn’t realize?
