Charge piping

Hey just a thought has anyone wrapped there charge pipe with the exhaust wrap to keep it cooler. I may try and see what the temp difference are.

Which charge piping are you using ? The Injen Chargepipe get really hot seeing how it goes right across the valve cover

Yea my pipes are custom and thsrs how there routed

Mine get pretty hot until I start drivin.. if it's jus on an sittin there(after I've been drivin) ive seen temps of 205, but after I start movin, I don't see nuthin higher than 195

Yea my iats at the tb are like 40ish and my car temp gets to about 196 so i was just wondrrin if i could make the hott side a little cooler cause its hot to the touch

I would advise against header wrap as that is designed to keep heat inside. You want it shed or shielded from heat.....Something like this would work:

Dezod Motorsports. Heatshield Products Cold Air Intake Sleeve

Dezod Motorsports. Heatshield Products Cool Foil Tape

Dezod Motorsports. Heatshield Products High Temperature Thermal Barrier Cloth
