i would like to see pics of the turbo on a cobalt... and a picture from far enough back so we can see it actually in a cobalt... not just a close up in the engine bay + a dyno graph and a vid of the car running, if possible

Fare enough, we got a guy coming in from Idaho and he is going to try to get it into the shop in 15 days, and we will have dyno numbers before and after!

it is a 06 LS 2.2L manual!

Should be fun, and easy as we have the manifold that we use on the ION 2.2L it is a matter of getting the piping done!

plan is to get the customers car back by X-mas!

MAKE IT??? we have it designed and we are only waiting the final bends and intercooler placement (easy stuff) and we already have the programming ready for the boost numbers!

so when everything is said and done it will be a full production kit and ready to bolt on includes tuning...! it will look like it came from GM the way everything is routed and setup!

Edit: the cool part we have 20 peices all ready to go!!!!! 20 manifolds, 20 turbo's, 20etc.... so trust me we will be ready for orders!

Unichip "Q" you can control timing (pull timing back) and add fuel via 5th injector (65LB) from what i saw i was very impressed as it reminded me of a stand alone the way the guy was tuning it! i was like damn! so i will most likely add it to my kit for specific boost levels.

turboing the ss/sc makes more since. the guys how have been tuning my car are trying to talk me into taking off the supercharger and making a turbo kit for it. the reason is the motor is losing hp turning the supercharger. they are thinking about 50 to 80 hp just to use the superchager. it makes since to use a motor that already holds boost and just turbo it then to try to build a motor to hold boost. so they are thinking i will be around 350 or 400 with a nice size turbo. custom EVERYTHING. i just dont have the time or the money to let them. but its a good idea.

Sometime within the next 6 months I plan on turboing an 06 LT with UMI's standalone.

Project has been put off until I finish twincharging my own car and until after my brother's D16 turbo is finished. UMI's kit is comparable to an AEM EMS as far as price goes, plus comes with pretuned turbo maps and 2-3 bar support.

A little update. We've confirmed with Unichip that the new UNIQ version will work fine and will give us full control over fuel and timing on the Cobalt. Now we're just waiting for Speed Mafia's guy from Idaho to loan us his car. If that falls through we'll look at alternate methods in getting a test fittment car.

Use my car. My internals aren't built for it, though.
