Well the good news is we have Duanes car down at Alpine Developement and they are fitting there ION kit to the cobalt, and i will be heading over there as soon as i can shovel out my truck and get down there (winter snow storm) and get it on the dyno and tune it and see how well the ion kit fits the cobalt kit. i dont see any problems so far from what John and Dave have told me over at Alpine...So should be a simple install...
So let me head over there get you guys some pics and any other information we find! i personally was surprized how much room is in the cobalt engine compartment!
If you guys have question feel free to call John or Dave direct....John is a super cool guy!
and dave is super cool and is always willing to take calls and questions!

run that bad boy around 12:5 air to fuel and bam lets race boys! lol so u guys want pics and vids right?
oh and dyno before and after! just playing that is a must when working a customers car and trying to sell a kit to customers!
let me see if i can get duane on this forum here so you guys can get his feed back on customer service and satisfaction!

whats going on fellas. i am just hangin out waiting to get my car back. i sat down with dave and john at their shop and they blew my mind. the ammount of information those guys know about FI. i have no doubt in my mind that this will have amazing results. im also psyched cuz it will retune itself when i get it back to boise keeping the same AFR and actually produce a bit more power cuz of my lower elevation.
also if anyone is in the denver area or somewhere between denver and boise i would be willing to let you testdrive my car to see what its like. im already set to meet up with someone in SLC since im going right through there. and im not selling anything. i just dont mind other balt owners seein what its like to be turbo'ed.

Duane, whats up man! yep just talked with John and everything from the saturn ion turbo kit fit right up to the Cobalt and john said he is waiting on some fittings and get the down pipe setup just right and the car will be ready to go!
So that is good news i was sure the ion kit would fit fine on the Cobalt but it being MAF there are some changes that need to be made!
Also John said he will be sending pics of it and get it over to Duane!
Thanks Kevin

Talked to john a few hours ago and they finished the downpipe and are ready to startup the car tomorrow and tune it.
Also, i want to clarify something because i was reading through this thread today and realized things might seem confusing. Tuning comes from a piggyback unit called the Unichip Q. Its confirmed to work 100% with the cobalt/ion. What its going to do is control a 5th injector(65lb) that supplies the engine with the extra fuel it needs. The problem half-cent was speaking of about the WOT delay can be addressed because the unichip will see the change in fuel and just compensate for that lean spike no matter when it happens. The Unichip will keep the car at whichever AFR they want, if i remember correctly John said 12.2-12.5.
I dunno about you guys, but im WAY EXCITED. I get my car back next weekend.

Depending on timing and boost levels thats about right! i have a car right now a ion that is running 10psi at 12:1 air/fuel but if i could pull timing i could run it a little leaner say 12.2-12.5
for example even nitrous kits run at 12.5 on 50 shots
so if pulling timing and boost levels that is about right!
duane i posted a link to pics of your car with then ion kit...looks sweet man

Man its good to see her again
Yup, i have 2 friends with LSJ's. Ones a Red Line with just a CAI, and other is a SS/SC, stock. I will have various pulls, 0 - 60, and races from dig. That should give everyone a good prospective on how fast it will be. I also know some guys with SRT4's, some slightly mod'ed and others doing 120 in a 1/4mile.
