dyno tune VS street tune. please put your input
I really want to see what people think and reccomend between both of these. I have heard alot from both and really though I would ask everyone on here to get more into and opinions.. Let them be heard. thanks
my opinion on the matter is . where do you drive ? dyno or street? hell if you can get a decent tune down then tune at the track is great IMO then if you want to go higher then you're traps obviously you need a longer road
like people said dynos will tell you where there are issues.. however so will data logs

what I was thinking more off

personally if i was tuning the car with hptuners or something similar. I would log it on the street to check for knock and make sure then a/f was good, then hit the dyno and tweak it to see some higher numbers.
a good wideband and logging setup will let you know whats wrong/ when its wrong the advantage of being on the dyno is if you want to tune all the way through the top of 5th you can .. obviously you're not really going to do that on the street every day..
depends on how radical the change is
example
i have a TT GTO, tuning that on the street first wouldn't be safe for the engine because the airflow tables and the spark tables have been changed so drastically and what not
but, after the dyno tune, it knocked randomly on the street. So it had to be adjusted from the original dyno tunes to accommodate to variables not visible at a dyno
Dyno tuning = max power
street tuning = reliability and all variables considered

You'll get more power out of a dyno tune since you'll be able to see the small changes needed for peak adjustment.
A street tune will marry the car to your driving style.
If it were me, to save a little money, I'd street tune first to get in the ballpark. Dyno tune for peak power, then return to the street for finishing touches.

Street tune first to address all of the drivablity tuning and get the WOT rough adjusted. Then fine tune on the dyno for peak power.
I get a LOT of tuned cars coming to me (all different makes&models) that were dyno tuned and run like total **** everywhere else. So IMO, the best method is to street tune and get it driving well then adjust power on the dyno

meh, mine was the first 07 to be tuned by Trifecta, we had no idea what to expect, but got it DYNO tuned with no mods, i feel it gave Trifecta a great starting point.
and i've gotta say the dyno tune is the way to go. the problems i've heard of is having a car tuned so tightly that changes of humidity and altitude(lets say you got it done at 0ft elevation, and on a trip got to 5000ft elevation). As long as you give it some wiggle room while doing the dyno tune, you'll end up with a great setup. and of course, slight adjustments on the street afterward IF needed at all.
with that said, since I got tuned, the car has ran perfectly for over 35,000 miles. I'm very pleased.
