The Eaton H62 Supercharger......

I have been researching about the rare H62 or Hybrid M62 supercharger that the time attack cobalts used. I know at least 7 were for sale. And I'm willing to be more have had one or have one. I wanted to not what the specs were, but what it was like with one. I want to know your opinions (for those who were lucky enough to have one) about them. What were the pros/cons of it. And if anyone knows where I can get one, I would love to know. Also, anyone is free to post your opinions, facts, or research about them.

Some one should make re-production rotors if they were cheap and worth a few extra HP.

that's the first I've ever heard of the "H62"

there is no way to make just rotors....you would have to buy the SC with the rotors. Tolerance between the rotors and housing are insane....remember it's an air pump...so big gaps won't push air; your SC would be like a fan with no blades.

Well.. what are you looking for? From the info avaiable it's the same supercharger with slightly different internals which make it flow a bit better... It's still the same displacement therefore... So if you want to upgrade you should just go turbo or tvs

I like the supercharger, so I will be going TVS eventually. I just have been researching this for sometime, and wanted to see if one was out there, and what the real world differences were (not just technical.)

I fail to see how this is any better than the Harrop

even if you put 6th gen rotors into a M62 its still a smaller blower being a 1.0L vs the harrop which is a 1.32L

Thanks for the links. I Know that the TVS is better, just interested is all. Call it curiousity. I had been wanting to run one of these until the tvs came out, might want to run one anyway just for the fun of it.

True....My TVS looks to be aways out. So this looked to be an interesting alternative for the short run. Plus it is rare and not everyone can say that they have one.

yes you can make just rotors... rotors will swap from 1 housing to another....tolerances are tight, but so are the tolerances in the spec.s of the blowers themselves.

The 6th gen blower was only good for about a 20whp gain, and was still pretty pricey. This is one of the main reasons it was scrapped. the TVS is superior in every way, because the 6th gen M62 was really a prototype for the TVS's technology.

all of these experimental blowers were recalled and they do not produce them anymore. Good luck getting one.

Me too....Housing of the H62 from eaton looked ported, but I can do that to my housing. but I really want the rotors!!!! I'm gonna contacted a company who made some rotors for another market (honda) that used and M62 supercharger on the car and made custom twist rotors for it out of carbon fiber (lighter). It was supposed to be more efficient.

Bump........Anyone from the brain trust??

it worked, and well at that. all while looking totally stock.

it acted a bit more twin-screw-ish for about .02sec Vs Normal.

what else is there to know.

it will have to stand up to the temperatures created by compression

There is no way to get tvs rotors in the m62 currently nor is there a plan for that according to a couple sources
