Exhaust/Intake Manifold gaskets

Hey everyone,

I'm in the middle of pieceing together my turbo kit for my LSJ... I'm at the gasket buying stage and was wondering if the gaskets bought straight from GM are going to be good enough for turbo charging the lsj.. I figured since the car was already boosted that they would be alright, but im not sure with the back pressure in the manifold.

Or do I need a copper gasket from somewhere?? If I do, where do I get it?

Thanks for the help in advance

I'm using a stock exhaust manifold gasket on mine and have not had any issues. On the intake manifold is another story. I'm using an anerobic sealer which works great.

stock gaskets will be fine. might want to use new ones, but they're metal gaskets and quite strong.

I would (and did) replace them too, I'm not turbo but a used gasket is a used gasket. GM ones should be fine I've never heard of people using aftermarket ones really.
