GMPP Intake ??

k so my GMPP intake is really dirty.. do i clean it or do i replcace it.. also is it worth replace the filter with like a K&nn one?

a k&n is risky cuz its an oiled filter, and that oil could get on your maf and mess with things and throw cel's

Best bet is to replace it with a dry flow air filter go with AEM or Injen, but you never should have bought a GMPP intake, there **** save yourself down the line a buy a Injen intake

REPLACE IT WITH THE GMPP FILTER!


YOU WILL BREAK YOUR INTAKE!

Trust me, I did...you can wash it with an AEM dryflow recharge kit.

thats helpful to call the intake ****.... Alot of us have them. They are pretty good.


Get the AEM... thats what I have on mine.

Its an offset filter so make sure you get the right kind. Also make sure its a dry filter as mentioned above. I priced mine and its around $30.00 or so from the dealer sooooooo........

I didnt get an offset and mine is just fine... the filter just barely touches the hood but I have not had any problems

Touching the hood is a bad thing IMO. I mean its your car so if you don't mind.... *shrug*

I've had an AEM without the offset for roughty 8 months now... no issues, no breakage
The lip you clamp your filter on is pretty flexible plastic.

I suggest you get an offset on, because mine was fine than all of the sudden HUGE vacuum and CELs like my car was a CEL machine.

It's minimal terry, and not something that will be an issue when I finally get the new hood

Thats funny, My old 1.8T GTi was a cell machine also.
