Going Turbo.

Well I ended up trading my set of coilovers for TIAL 38mm wastegate, Vulcan Turbo manifold and a 60trim Garrett Turbo and he said he would assist me with the tune for the turbo. With that said I need the rest of the items to finish this up...

Here are my plans:
Im not going air to air cooling to start with just to keep the fab work down as much as possible so Im going to stick with the intake manifold I have now and use that to cool the air instead of having a intercooler. I will also be going to my local exhaust shop to see if I can get a downpipe fab'd up for the turbo setup unless someone on here has one made and I could get it to fit with some small modification. I was told I should be able to run at least 12 psi on the turbo without having to move up on injectors so I may stick with the stock injectors for now. Now I will need a way to mount the TB to the intake manifold and I seen the supercharger delete kit on zzp and I may do that but my question is with the wiring to the tb; Will I have to extend the wire out since Im moving the TB that far over? Another thing what is involved on moving the MAF from where its at now to the spot in the pic.

last but not least what Im not sure about is what does most people do with the belt issue. Since your getting rid of the supercharger do i need to make up a dummy pulley or what?

for the belt issue, there are two options.

1) get the clutch welded on your LSJ alternator and use a 2.2 belt and belt tensioner and some 2.2 alternator bolts

2) buy a 2.2 alternator, alternator pigtail, 2.2 belt tensioner, 2.2 belt, and 2.2 alternator bolts

You can also buy a RAW idler pulley that will take place of the stock SC pulley. There are others that make it as well. PM me for details.

PM Kennyspec on here. He is a good buddy of mine and did a turbo swap a few years ago. Built everything including the header and all the plumbing. Laid down 360whp just before winter. He can answer any turbo questions you have.
