Have you actually looked at the build quality? The tubes don't line up. The flanges are ****. The welds look like a blind retard did them. All that, coupled with a horrible installation, zero clearance when installed, and a $400 pricetag? I got my complete Clear Image header, with downpipe, ceramic coated, for under $400 shipped to me. I would bet any money I could dyno my setup on my header, then pull it and put in a JPB, and lose power.

On the contrary

my tubes are perfect
my flanges are perfect
my welds are perfect
my fitment was tight, but menueverable
and yes there is clearance

You sir must have gotten or seen a LEMON.

We all choose where we want our power band to be. You made your decission. Either way, anything is better over the stock cast iron exhaust manifold.

The joints in the tube pieces, where they were jigged and welded, suck. I do railings and tubing at work sometimes, welding then blending and polishing. The **** that came on the JBP header I saw, was embarrassing.

It wasn't mine, it was a car I did an engine replacement on.

Possibly. I've had my fun with JBP crap, and you learn to see through the advertising and noise to realize the level of bullshit they throw at you.

I wanted power up top where I can use it. Thats what I got, and the car sounds sweet to boot. I'm not complaining.

Hell, I was porting stock manifolds before anyone else did to get more flow, back when we didn't have choices.

Wait, nevermind. I don't know anything, i'm just guessing.

I'm sure you know a lot. And I'm sure there may be better welds... but your description above of the JBP header is far from accurate IMO.

Lol power up top? I need a header to do that?
METH solved that issue before I even decided to run a full exhaust.

You know our car makes the majority of its power from playing w/ spark advance and fueling. 12.4 actual AFR & 24-26* of timing from 3000rpm and up... lol I can make power anywhere in the powerband.

Alright, lets make this quick and simple. DO YOUR RESEARCH BEFOR YOU BUY ANYTHING. There is acctualy a math formula to determine the amount of exhuast airflow you want depending on how much air your allowing your block to feed on/how fast the air moves and what other mods you have that will effect these numbers. Now, I do not have the specific math, but im looking now, I have seen it befor so when i can find it you will have a link. It would not be a true statement to say " Any headers are better then stock"... if your not moding anything on your intake end (im not talking about just and intake, we are talking forced induction/NOS/turbo/SC) then opening your exhaust will more then likely be looks/sounds. I still wouldnt bolt on nothing cheap. Your already moding your car, wich takes away from the warranty. You should make sure your car is going to be reliable and safe AND GET IT TUNED. I personaly would stray from purchasing a tune apposed to taking your car in to get tuned. Dont buy what everyone else has, everyone else didnt do thier research, and they sure dont have the same set up. Now, a certainly good question for a forum would be...."What are your opinions on Ceramic/or heat treated colors that do not chip or stain?".... Why does everyone want to buy what everyone else has, and who the hell trusts these forums? No one in this crap ha over 300+WHP... why is everyone so stoked to see 240?

UGH LET ME SAY AGAIN..RESEARCH! DO SOME!

Maybe I should have specified. I wanted my best airflow up top, for even more power. Meth, tuning, all that good stuff, is limited by the amount of air you can get in or out. Improving overall efficency will allow the air and fuel you have to make more power...

What you speak of is tuning. Thats how you make power in anything, it has nothing to do with our cars or anything specific.

That's funny. I've seen 3 JBP headers... and they were just like Joe described. **** for quality. Just like everything else that I've bought from them.

I think that YOU are the one that got lucky, and actually received a quality product.

Yeah, I wanted one bad. They look so sweet in the pics and all. But I remembered when I was on their Cam group buy... and I gave them $700 for cams and valve springs... but didn't receive a product for 4 months. I wasn't going through that again.
