I have a 06 cobalt ls automatic. I have been really thinking of supercharging it for the last year but have no idea what kind of kit I should look for. Also would s/c a auto transmission be a problem? If someone could help me and inform me of where I could get a complete kit and advice I would really appreciate it!

 

you can get a complete bolt on kit from ZZP, and i know drumrush is an auto 2.2 sc, i hear the only problem really is just the amount of room in the front of the engine, i have a manual 2.2 sc and my build went good except some issues i had with my intake drinking water

 

Please search! It took me a year of research before I did my build. Expect to pay1500-2000 if you piece it together or 2500 fora kit. Google it. These threads bother me, it's not as easy as everybody thinks!!

as long as you run a smaller pulley,you won't have clearance issues.06blackbalt had a 2.2 auto with stock pulley and had to cut a little core support to make it fit for stock pulley but then went to a 2.8 and it cleared just fine.Go with a 2.9 pulley with it and you will be extremely happy.Mines manual so I had plenty room but I've been running a 2.9 since the get go.
