Intake question

So me being the cheap person I am, im thinking for the time being, im just going to buy a K&N filter and just put on my stock intake piping. I know it will give me little to no HP gain, but the only thing im concerned about is the MFAS is connected to the intake box, so if I just put a filter on, I wont be able to hook up the sensor, and my check engine light will come on. Will this cause any long term issues, as in like a month or two until I buy a full intake?

You're car isn't going to run right at all. It will stall out, not start, maybe engine power reduced.

you definitley need the maf sensor installed. you can buy a weld on maf bung so you can get rid of the factory box. use 3" aluminum tubing and weld the bung in the tubing. install the filter and maf and your set.
