You are looking at the price I bet. You pay for what you get. You will have a nice suprise when you get it.

It is a coupler, a VERY small piece of tube, and a filter. Does not replace the entire intake system.

Best dyno results for the SS/SC is Injen.

I hope you don't belive the +16hp Injen claims for the SS/SC intake.

OP, the AEM intake is a great intake. Yes, it only replaces the airbox, but it produces about the same amount of horsepower as all of the other SS/SC intakes out there (7-10whp). AEM did extensive testing, and found they did not gain anymore horsepower by replacing all of the stock piping vs. just replacing the airbox.

I have experience with many intakes for the SS/SC. If I were you, I would purchase the one you find for the best price, because there is hardly any difference in power between any of them. Trust me! Things to look for are build quality & fitment though.

If you want to see what the AEM intake looks like installed check out my photos. I ran one for about 2 years.

Back 4 years ago, it was dyno tested by many members, new members obviously dont remember or know this. Injen does not "lie" and it was proven.

AEM stated that, but obviously Injen proved it wrong, along with Injen was already out a good year before the AEM was.

We carry both brands, dont get us wrong, Injen is just so much better.

I've been around a long time (even before my join date).

I currently have an Injen intake, and gained no horsepower over my old AEM intake.

By testing the Injen intake after removing my AEM intake. I dynoed about the exact same. Maybe 1whp more with the Injen.

You have been around awhile. I would think you know that all intakes for the LSJ do the same thing. Make the supercharger louder, and net you about 7-10whp on average. This has been proven time and time agian.

Prove yourself please: Show me the dyno graph.

Back in the day we saw time after time of about 15 WHP gain of just a Injen intake on a stock SS/SC application.

As stated we carry both brands, but Injen is superior to AEM on this particular application.

I do not print out all of my graphs. So you can call me a liar if you want.

I've tested the air box mod, XTC intake, AEM intake, Rebel intake, and Injen. Between all of them there was hardly a difference. You will not notice 1-2whp.

The only thing the Injen intake is superior in is looks.

Data will speak, nothing else will.

haha 15 whp.

No intake for the SS/SC gains that much power (especially on a bone stock car). Not even the 3" intakes.

You have no actual data either, yet try to call me out. I'm stating the truth, considering I have owned/tested both (I have no reason to lie). I'm not biased towards either intake. I will admit though that Injen's Amsoil filter is better than the filter that comes with the AEM intake.

OP, you purchase the intake you think is best, but dont let people fool you on its power output.

Remember, I have owned both intakes we are debating in this thread. Both are good intakes, but one is really not better than the other.

Ran the AEM for 3 years solid with normal cleaining of the filter once a year. Great intake. Only thing i would reccomend is a hydroshield.

Good luck!
