Magnuson speaks about forced induction and emissions for the future.

I have an audio track from this week when I met up with Jerry and Maureen Magnuson at the Ventura Auto Sports Gathering in downtown Ventura Ca. on 7-20-08. Rather then just post up the mp3 I added some magnuson factory pictures to it and made a video.
He knew I was recording but I didn't want to just stick the camera in his face the whole time so I put it down and just let him talk (he seemed more fluent and relaxed that way) They are great people, really nice to talk to. Maureen invited me for a personal tour of their facility....and make no mistake... I WILL be going.

It's kinda interesting to hear what he believes the future holds for his company.
You are of course all welcome to discuss.

I WOULD appreciate it if we could keep it on topic and civil...please.

Thanks in advance,

Wm Holden

OEM supercharging seems to be getting less popular and Turboing is becoming more popular

all the oe are going toward force induction. It simply the easiest way to raise the efficiency of the motor.

I dont see how supercharging an engine will result in better mileage? isnt the engine before the FI still the same size? I think they were just not hitting the gas as hard. plus with a FI car the injectors and fuel parts of the car need to be bigger to compensate for the more air.

A grand prix and supercharged grand prix are rated at the same mpg's from the factory but my sc one would get 14 mpg when i beat on it and a regular one would get about 17.

My car went from 20 to 22.7 with the addition of the Super...for real

supercharged 4cyls will be everywhere ...soon.

Boose88 I get 22mpg on the highway on my 12.3 sec 1/4 mile grand prix gtp...

We will see a day that the majority of cars will be forced induction.... Then latter we will see a day when they are all not running on gas.....
