Looks nice man.I dont know if i could ever put another vortech s/c on my car.I had one on my z24,and the internal oil seal leaked on it and it was spraying oil into my engine and the air filter was soaked with oil.I think it was some sort of carbon seal.Vortech wanted like a thousand bucks to fix it.I found some guy online to fix it for like $200.I have since sold the s/c kit,but i would never go back to a vortech. It seems to be a common problem with them but vortech refuses to fix them under warranty. The first charger i got from them the pulley siezed up on me and they refused to fix it.The second one the seal gave out,so im gonna stay away from them, lol. It was a vg-9 trim or something like that.

Damn sorry to hear that. I cant believe they wanted that much to fix it. I really don't like Vortech all that much but I got such a good deal on this head unit I couldn't pass it up. But I might go with a F series Procharger later down the road.

centrifugal superchargers are like the compressor side of a turbo. They help to draw air in to the engine at a higher pressure but use the serpentine belt that powers other accesories in the car. Its the same idea of a turbo but doesn't require (or use) exhaust gases to power it. The scion tc has a similar setup for the tc, but it only provides another 40 horsepower after the parasitic loss from using it is factored in. They really aren't that great of an idea for our cars; power is really noticeable only towards the higher revs of the engine and the boost isn't instant. Most cars that really benefit from these type are muscle cars or a koenigsegg.(twin supercharged 4.7L v8 making 806 hp).
