my friend has a GT22 turbo that i am going to probably buy off of him, and i want to build a dual charge. does anyone know appx. how much it cost to dual charge, and what i would have to rebuild on my engine to handle this much power?
thanxxxx a BUNCH!

the only problem with a twin charge is having the right supercharger that when the turbo is at full spool the sc isnt holding it back but not being able to keep up spinning wise
The most difficult part is fitting the right turbo. It takes a bit to get used to using compressor map pressure ratios at anything above ambient pressure.
Fitting them are cake since you dont have pulleys to get rid of or intake manifolds to change.
Tuning is just as easy. We are lucky to have digital MAFs which are more precise than your typical 0-5v analog ones used on non-GMs.
i really don't want to just turbo the car because after all i did buy it for the S/C, and i think dual charging would be rad. is it really a waste in power? and impossible to tune? cause i mean, i super REALLY BADLY wanna do it.
well, the GT22 is a teeny, tiny turbo. it is coming off of a car that is TT, he has a big turbo and a small. what he is doing is selling both the big and small turbo, and i don't feel that any 2.0l can handle both the S/C and a big turbo, so i figure why not buy his smaller turbo and just build it on from there.

Tuning would be best done by someone who at least has a background tuning engine management with other LSJs or at the very least LS2 GTOs or similar late model GM electronic throttle body PCMs.
I didnt mean in the above posts to make it sound easier to design than a turbo swap its just a different approach has to be taken when choosing the right turbo. Its not something that you would just reference from a web forum or internet site but any engine management book would be able to assist you.
