Need some quick help please!

So I finished installing my SC on my 2.2L last night and had the tune ready to go. I double checked everything, then started it up to idle (pre-tune) and it idled fine and added my coolants made sure nothing was leaking. I turned it off and then uploaded my tune and when that was done I let it idle for a bit. So here is what im worried about. When at idle or if I give it a tiny bit of gas the revs bounce up and down from like .8k-2k and slowly works its way back down to about .8k at idle. Went for a test drive just around the block a few times, and my boost gauge was reading 8lbs of boost just at a low cruise and my wideband was off the charts. Was reading like 20+ wasnt even reading on the guage anymore just had slashes. Also my check engine light was on and I have no idea why. Going to have to get the code pulled today.

What kind of a f/r should I be looking for at idle, cruise, and WOT?

idle should be 14.7
cruise should be 14.7
wot or high engine load should be ~11.0-11.5:1

you shouldnt be in boost at cruise. is your bypass valve working?

i would avoid driving it if your seeing afr's of 20+. what tune?

Trifecta tune. Also how would I check to make sure the bypass valve is working? I have the break booster hose hooked up the blower and everything is hooked up. I'm not sure why I was seeing 8lbs of boost constantly.

Is is boosting at idle as well? Did you buy a used gauge? There is no way your building 8 pounds just cruising when there isn't and load on your engine. Something isn't right. But i wouldn't worry about hurting your motor from it. It sounds like a glitch somewhere. Do you have hp tuners pro or are you looking right at the gauge when its reading 20 afr? What kind of wideband do you have

My wideband is working now. I just wasn't used to it, but when I decelerate it pings out and but at cruise its right at 14.6-14.9. It is an AEM UEGO. Bought both my AEM gauges brand new. The boost gauge is no longer reading 8lbs when just cruising it reads (- - -) at idle/cruise but now when I go WOT it still says my boost is 0 (- - -) but it definitely feels faster than my stock 2.2L. I have tripled checked every hose and wire for the boost gauge. The only thing that may be bad is the ground, but I wouldn't see how that would affect the gauge. Im trifecta tuned btw.

What is the afr like when you go wot? Go on ebay and get a cheap mechanical boost gauge and just run a vacuum line to the dash. That will tell you real quick if it's the gauge. Can you hear the blower whining at all? Do you have a cold air intake coming off if it or an air box? What pulley size?

Well, Vince thinks the problem is I have an air leak somewhere on my intake manifold. I did some logs for him and he is like 100% sure I have a leak. Would explain the boost gauge not working. Yes I could hear the blower whining when I go WOT, I hear it loud and clear and its addicting lol. 3.4 pulley, and ZZP's custom intake with their SC kit. He said my WOT was a little on the lean side but he sent me a new tune to fix that.

Yeah, but I don't know how im going to find the damn air leak. I guess I could try the carb cleaner trick, but maybe I can just take it to a shop and have them smoke test it to see where it is leaking.

Yeah def do carb cleaner. It may just be under boost pressure too you never know. If that is the case you'll never be able to tell with carb cleaner under vacuum

I tried yesterday with carb cleaner and its hard because if my car idles for to long at like 600 rpm it dies out. I'm thinking of just taking it to a shop and pay to have it finished.

Why is it idling that low

Not sure but I'm guessing its because of the air leak. This is what Vince told me.

A) Manifold vacuum at idle is VERY low (55-60 kPA, should be more like 30-40kPa)

B) Extremely lean fuel trims at light throttle / idle, but gets into line under heavy throttle – WOT mixture looks pretty good.

C) MAF frequency at idle is lower than normal
