yea, the more Im reading, the more I think Im just gonna wait for the 2.0 build to be finished and just get that kit. Seems like a kit that fits a Cobalt will make for less of a headache later on

Im about to order my gauges, gonna get them from auto meter. Im getting the boost, and wideband afr. Should I get an oil pressure gauge also? I know I should monitor the oil pressure but Im not sure if it is necessary to get a gauge. Also, what does a vacuum gauge do http://www.autometer.com/cat_gaugede...earch&gid=3126?

Wait... so theres almost a kit completed for the ion 2.4? Wow. thats awesome. the bracket is the only thing that I have been troubling over since I dont have time to tare some parts out of my dd and design one.

I'm super interested....

Is it possible that a tune will be available with a kit then?

i think tune will be custom.. unless people want to wait a bit longer ... I had the kit on my ion.. and running.. however the bracket was resting on the valve cover and motor mount so it needs to be shaved down a bit, this caused me to take the setup off me car because i was thinking there was something wrong with the blower...

so if people car wait for another like 4 months or so when i can get tuning finalized maybe vince can work out a deal with smp/ aas tuning to have a tune with the kit...

he started working on the tune with me but we only got like 2 logs in before i took the kit back off ...

if i can find a 2.4 in my area and they have the money to buy the parts I can definately help them setup everything as well as installation because i've done the install just about everything 3 times lol

it really is a n easy setup to work with considering i was able to do it all myself and i've never done any work of this nature on my car..

this is a vid of the first start

this is a little walk around at the end you can hear the grinding noise from the inside.. it's pretty crazy

overall the setup sounded sick.. I'm personally going to find some way to quiet it down because i'm going for a stealthier operation and having a jet under my hood isn't really stealth lol

the reason it's going to be a bit before the kit is reinstalled is because my alternator kicked the bucket and i need to make sure the new one is in good shape first.. also i have to work on paying off all the money i've spent on the kit so far.. and look at getting a second car

if anyone has any questions about the kit or anything i'm running just ask my pm box is usually full so send me an im on aim at digital0785 or on yahoo at avatar20030

if someone has an ion i can very easily help then out .. even over online.. SMP makes the brackets as well as just about everything ... the only thing they don't make that you'll need is a maf section.. which you can use an intake if you have one or buy a 76mm maf section from a mustang lol (it's a slot style maf like ours) or you could use the spectre kit 9405 as well
