The zzp kit will outperform a remote mount turbo setup. V8 with big displacement can manage to spool a remote setup like the sts decently, but a 2.2 eco will perform better with a manifold mounted turbo.

from what I've read there is minimal lag, but they're probably running a t25 or something out back.

rear mounted turbo's are great if you have a tight engine bay but if you have the room theres no reason for it. while rear mounted turbos work great they are limited. by zzp or piece together your own kit for cheaper.

Cobalts have room in the engine bay:-P. ......... The rear mounted setup is ok but has tons of flaws. When its a dd. Like bumps in the road....... Oil starvation when done un correctly and ect.

stage 3 supercharger zzp kit will produce ~250-260whp with a nice exhaust. i think its just a pulley change, cooler upgrade and a computer reflash.

stage 3 zzp turbo kit will produce over 300hp

If you are handy and know what to buy, you can make a setup mounted to the engine for close to that price.

wow! never noticed that the zzp kit came with a water/air intercooler. now i can see why its a 3300.00 kit. ask them if they have an air/air setup. should be a lot cheaper. im not sure why they wouldnt have an air/air setup. you send them your pcm/tcm as a core and they ship you another set that is tuned.
