T25 for mild HP build?

I pulled a t25 turbo the other day for a decent price and am planing on using it as a base to start collecting parts for a turbo build.

Im not looking for huge HP gains just around 230-250 whp (its gonna be for back roads and maybe autocross more than dragging plus its a daily driver) . I like the idea of the torque this turbo will give more than the hp.

Will a t25 be good for the application I want it for? Or is it going to cause too much trouble? Thanks for any help

So heres the thing, with no computer controlled boost control, it will spool very quickly,

However you will be at full boost before WOT which is difficult to tune for.

So here's a possibly very stupid question: is there a module to change a manual controlled turbo to an electronically controlled one?

I had read about boost controllers but I wasn't sure if that was what I was thinking of.

And one more: what's WOT?

You could buy a nice electronic boost controller if you wanted, that could help solve the issue.

If you have to ask what WOT means you probably shouldnt be turboing your car

It stands for wide open throttle

Ahh gotcha I was hopping that was a thing!

And trust me I don't pretend to be an expert, I'm just a geek with these kinds of things and like to learn as much as I can before a project (so its gonna be a while before I attempt this)

I also have a family member who has done this before and has a ton more knowledge than me who will be helping out
