Tial 38mm Wastegate assistance needed

This came with the ZZP turbo kit air/liquid like 3 years ago or so.
I want to know if this is normal..........
hoping ZZP comes by this thread and help get a new one in exchange with this one for a small fee.

I don't remember the plunger staying open like that lol. Not trying to call ya out or anything but was it put back together correctly? Was it boosting before you took it apart? If not then that waste gate is done for

the wastegate was working perfectly before for about 2 years, and this came with the ZZP turbo kit.

spring seems to not be providing enough pressure to keep it closed. try adding a few washers in and see if it will close up and stay closed. I would contact tial not zzp.

Mine is off right now and the spring tension to that plunger is quite strong.
Not sure what would keep it open like that.

To clarify, it was never removed or taken apart, just started sticking. Once we determined that it was staying open, I told him to remove it from the car. It was working normally until a while back, and has been getting progressively worse. We were chasing another source of the late spool and missed the simple diag step of running the wastegate with no line going to it

Well don't drive with it like that spring could be screwed up. Buy a new one and see if that's it. Otherwise call tial
