TIPS FOR A TVS 300+HP BUILD dd

Im currently deployed, so im still doin my fair share of reading and shopping around. im set on getting the TVS. there are just so many different supporting mods. trying to keep the build under 5g's. im pretty sure i need 60lb injectors for 20psi, correct me if im wrong. now which is better for cooling. getting a dual pass end plate or a secondary front mount intercooler. i also dont want to deal with the maintenance of meth injection. how much would it help to get the LS4 throttle body? i was also looking to get either the stage 1 or stage 2 head from j body performance. but recently ive been seeing some not to great comments on them. any advise on them or a head. getting all this done, will i have to worry about my pistons? finally last, anyone in the So Cal area know where to get a good tune for all these goodies, and how much does a tune and dyno run cost.

any advise is appreciated. hell ill even take the newbe jokes

bump for ya, 60's should be good for 20 psi, and I would go with a secondary heat exchanger.

hmm...full cooling mods including meth and the TVS and a good tune. You should be there.
(w/e fueling solution you want to run as well)

why do you think you need a billy badass motor, ported that, forged this to make 300whp?

have i not proven time and time again that you do not need this?

^^ yep. I did over 300 with zzp header/dp (stock catback), injen intake, bigger heat exchanger, dual-pass w/ opt b, and a tvs w/ 2.9 inch pulley

Edit: You could check the official dyno thread, it lists what mods everyone has

you dont need to get into engine work unless you start aiming for 350whp )cause we all cant tune like you area..lol)
i think area can hit low 400's if he ported his head

Save the money and just go turbo. You love the power band, sounds, and will not need all those other cooling mods. 60s, decent turbo, intercooler, and a few other small misc parts will easily have u running over 300 hp for cheaper.

If you need a port job to break 300, you're doing it wrong. Go singlepass (ask OTTP or qwikredline)

What was that about no cooling mods? I seriously doubt it would be cheaper.

My set up I put down 300/256 on a "conservative tune"

11.2 AFR 20* of timing 50/50 Meth Mix

TVS with 3.1
60's
3" catless downpipe
2.5" magnaflow catback
K&N Intake

LSJ Throttle Body
STOCK GM Exhaust manifold.

No porting or anything.

it really isn't cheaper hence why I went supercharged with everything borrowed from the SS. If you already have a turbo, manifold, piping, intercooler, injectors, and all the other supporting parts then of course it's cheaper to bolt on a DP and tune to make 300hp. YOU WILL STILL NEED COOLING MODS! just an air to air intercooler will work but you could make more power, safer, and longer if you added meth or nitrous.

as for loving turbo more than super I beg to differ. An eaton supercharger at 7000 rpms sounds like my gf when I really pound her. A turbo sounds like you have an exhaust leak somewhere untill it the turbo starts to go out then it will start whining like a supercharger lol (by go out I mean the bearings once you start to overboost, starve it of oil etc...) superchargers don't have to really worry about oil, or much of the maintanence a turbo car requires.

I prefer my boost making device not to be parasitic.
But the exhaust portion is simplier.
And i like the sound of a turbo and think they are better on higher revving engines.
