Well the more HP u make the bigger you'll wanna have it. U know what kinda #'s your puttin down now / What you think you'll be getting 2....

I would have said 2.5" up till around 280 hp on a Turbo car.... and a Full 3" on any more power then that.

magnaflow has a nice 2.5 inch exhaust made for the ss/sc and its supposed to gice good gains. 2 1/4 is more for a n/a setup, while 2.5 is more suited for a built n/a engine or forced induction.

The most ideal exhaust for a turboed vehicle is a 12-18" megaphone style exhaust.

However thats not practicle by any means.

Regardless of what people think, for ultimate performance, you want to eliminate back pressure as much as possible.

Basically, the fan turns one way...the back pressure is trying to turn it the opposite.

knowing what the garret kit and 2.2 can do stock...all youl need is a 2.5...unless you follow what he said^...otherwise if you bump up the boost and build the motor your going to want to go to 3 in...thats what im going with on my custom build
