Turbo Questions
Hey guys!
I just have some basic turbocharger question. Im a newb about it and doesnt personally know someone who can help. I just did some research thru internet but not sure if right. Im not trying to flame here, just a guy asking some turbo question. Not trying to be stupid either.
Please let any answer not go off topic.
Kindly Evaluate;
-Ideal boost for basic turbocharging from N/A engine is 9psi
-With 9psi boost, can produce 40%-50% increase in power.
-Is it accurate to say if tuning your car to 27psi can increase performance by 150%
-1psi = 10-15hp
Im not sure about all of it... I know it may sounds off..
Any good comments will be appreciated! Thanks!

you can never base power off of boost pressure. there are a lot of variables such as:
-turbo size
-intercooler efficiency
-exhaust set-up, etc
for example running 20psi on the stock small turbo from the SS/TC is not nearly the same as running 20psi from a gt3076r. the gt3076r flows much more air and is a more efficient compressor(because it flows more CFM)
