Yup autos do good on turbos but if I was auto I'd just do a built motor and be good.

There's no computation agreed upon by anyone that would lead you to an answer to this question. You should search through the F/I and 2.2L performance section.

On stock internals supercharging is the safest, cheapest, and easiest route.

go turbo. pound per pound the turbo will make more power. turbo system is a lot easier to upgrade. the supercharger is great for power off the line. supercharger is definitely easier to install. both are reliable systems.

COST: Supercharged

INSTALL: Supercharged

GAINS: If you plan on keeping internals stock then Supercharged. if down the line you want to build up the internals Turbo is wise.

DEPENDABILITY: Supercharged

but they really arent that far off in either category

if i had a manual trans i would turbo just because later down the line if i ever decided to it would be easy to buy some internals and up the boost.

but Supercharged is cooler
