turbo or supercharger in automatic
your choice good luck
edit: go with the garrett build or piece one together if u decide turbo....if not im sure theres plenty of guys here who are selling some superchargers....again good luck

I would turbo, sine its automatic no cluth to worry about, with a SC its better with a manual since you can get more boost to push at a higher rpm im told?(correct me if im wrong) Go turbo, hanh's kit. best bet and easiest to install and programm and what not.
Turbo is realiable for DD too. It just depends on what you want. For more hp I would go turbo never sc small engines imho. why do you think shelby gt 500's are so fast with a sc? And neons are faster with turbos?
Yeah unless you built the enging to handle more psi, with turbo low psi on our cars more hp, with sc more with same hp. I think a turbo at 8 is about the same as a sc with what 20ish? I might be wrong on that statement, plus you can always upgrade internals and head and make more psi to boost even more hp, and with no cluth to worry about its a gg for other cars, since you can push more hp and not worry about breaking **** after you upgrade and higher boost, otherwise 9 is the highest I would go on my car, and I have the 2.4 ss on yours I would say safely for you is 7-8 maybe but turbo for sure bro.
Agreed
I know a kid who ran 20 one night in his lt with his turbo, ran like high 11's and then now his car is totaled cause he blew all the internals and something exploded or something, he tried to sell me the kit but the ball bearing got broke or something along those lines.

you can never directly compare superchargers to turbos. people always just look at peak efficientcy numbers and say the turbo is better without looking at the entire efficientcy range.
i myself like superchargers. a setup with proper cooling and a well sized blower, regardless of the displacment will provide more usable power on a street car. nothing like having 10psi at 1800rpm, cant say yopu can do that with a turbo car and not be choking the motor down up top.

Unless you get an already ECU tuned Turbo kit for an automatic then the S/C is the way to go. It's no easy task to tune a boosted engine, adding the fact that you really don't have control over the transmission just adds another level of complexity to the equation. There is an advantage to having boost linked to engine speed - it's much easier to tune period.
The centrifugal systems that are popping up are really looking like the best answer for automatic ECOTECs. No bottleneck on the top end like with a smaller turbo or M62 Eaton and a very efficient system with respectable power below the curve. This is what you really want in a daily driver.
